2 September 2026
A concise summary of the main points regarding this article.
On July 30, 2026, Mdm Azimah and Mr Murali showcased the school’s vibrant visual arts initiatives, specifically focusing on the Artist-in-School Scheme (AISS) projects at the S1 Aesthetics Cluster Sharing.
Mdm Azimah and Mr Murali detailed how our teachers collaborated directly with professional artists to bring fresh perspectives, specialized techniques, and authentic artistic practices into the classroom. The sharing demonstrated how hands-on art projects, particularly 3D sculptures, were meaningfully integrated into the core primary curriculum rather than treated as standalone activities. The presenters highlighted the growth in students' confidence, creative problem-solving, and self-expression throughout the creative process.
Educators from across the cluster were deeply impressed by the quality and creativity of our students' sculptural artworks.
The event also highlighted strong school leaders’ support, with Vice Principal Ms. Chen attending the session to champion our art educators.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Ms. Chen for her leadership and presence, and we congratulate Mdm Azimah and Mr Murali for brilliantly showcasing Ang Mo Kio Primary’s commitment to nurturing young creative talents.
